One of the greatest resources of Southwest First Assembly of God is its senior citizens. Their wisdom and commitment have contributed to the long-standing ministry of the church in the Southwest metro area.
Service
Dubbed the “Prime Timers”, this group regularly meets for fellowship and encouragement. Retirement has enabled many of them to be active in service to the church body through visitation to hospitals and shut-ins and to help in times of bereavement and convalescence.
Fellowship
The Prime timers gather for breakfast at 9:00 a.m. on the 4th Tuesday each month at Perkins Restaurant (Eastman and Wadsworth location in Lakewood).
On the second Saturday of each month, they meet at the church for a Potluck Lunch and fellowship and encouragement socially and spiritually. During the summer months of June, July and August the monthly potlucks are held at 5 p.m. (Locations vary, usually at the home of one of the members. Detailed information is provided in the weekly church bulletin).
